Contents & Machinery
Material Damage All Risks cover in respect of Contents & Machinery
In line with Health & Safety legislation, lifting equipment & pressurised equipment are deemed as “Statutory Items”. This means that they must hold current inspection certificates by an independent qualified person.
Cover for these inspections can be arranged with insurer & the cover can also be extended to include Sudden & Unforeseen Damage to the equipment itself.
Business Interruption Insurance
This cover is designed to cover you loss of profits / income, following a loss at your premises (eg fire). Many factors should be taken into account when calculating the correct sum insured, for example if you have specialist machinery there may be a longer lead-in time to get replacements.
Marine / Goods in Transit
This policy provides cover for your goods whilst in transit either to or from your premises. The policy can also cover goods sent by post. Whilst professional carriers do provide some cover, this is usually quite restrictive under their terms of trade.
This cover can be bought separately or it can be provided as part of a combined traders package. This policy allows for defence costs in respect of legal proceedings.
